About the Council
Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging’s (MAAA) Community Advisory Council (CAC) is a group of older adults, family caregivers and community members who advise directly on the services, supports and needs of older adults and caregivers across our region.
CAC members share their own experience and perspective with MAAA staff, make recommendations to our board of directors each year and help shape how our work gets put into practice. It’s a chance to provide real input that leads to real changes.
Your own lived experience is what matters most here; no resume, professional credentials or prior board experience is required. Members typically serve a two-year commitment of quarterly meetings totaling around 12 hours of time a year.
If this sounds like the kind of experience you’d like to have, we would love to chat with you!
