Support for an aging population

We provide services, connections and innovations to help communities support older adults and their care partners. Much of our work is done through partnerships with community-based organizations, healthcare organizations and governmental units. We are committed to reducing disparities in access and ensuring equity and inclusivity in older adult services.

Awarding money for rewarding services

Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging administers federal Older Americans Act funding for services that help older adults and caregivers live safely and independently in their communities. In 2025, we awarded more than $13 million to community organizations for services such as home-delivered meals, transportation, caregiver support, respite and more.
