Technical assistance

We support organizations in identifying and applying to funding opportunities and implementing projects. How we can help:

  • Identifying funding sources
  • Exploring project concepts
  • Reviewing work plans and grant proposals
  • Navigating project implementation and reporting
  • Advocating on your behalf to reduce barriers in funding opportunities

Funding opportunities for which we provide technical assistance include:

  • Department of Human Services Live Well at Home grants
  • Minnesota Board on Aging Dementia grants
  • Age-Friendly Minnesota Community grants
  • GEAR grants

We provide technical assistance to organizations serving older adults and caregivers for other funding opportunities as our capacity allows.

Our team understands the needs of older adults and caregivers, and we bring a variety of skills and expertise in business management. We support providers who currently serve older adults, and those who aspire to serve older adults or caregivers. Our team offers training and consultation on a number of topics:

  • Grant writing
  • Nonprofit management
  • Program development
  • Caregiver services

  • The Metropolitan Caregiver Service Collaborative
  • AARP Age-Friendly Communities
  • HIV Housing Coalition
  • LGBTQ+ Elder Services Work Group
  • Mental Health and Older Adult Services Roundtable

Stacy Dunn

Stacy Dunn

Stacy Dunn brings a strong background in public health and aging services to her work at Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging. She first worked with MAAA through Juniper, where she gained insight into innovative approaches for integrating social care into the healthcare system. She later served as a Title III grant manager, deepening her understanding of the federal and state funding systems that support services for older adults.

Stacy is passionate about reducing disparities and addressing the social determinants of health that significantly influence individual and community well-being. She is committed to helping build a system where partners support and elevate one another so that, together, they can provide meaningful, effective supports for older adults. She enjoys connecting with organizations, learning from community members and gaining a deeper understanding of the people and communities MAAA serves.

Outside of work, Stacy enjoys spending time outdoors and recently took up kayaking. She is the proud owner of a foldable “flat-pack” kayak and considers every successful assembly and launch a small victory.

Geographic focus: Dakota and Ramsey counties
